✦ Do you offer consultations?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation for first-time clients to help us explore what you're looking for in a therapist, your goals for therapy, and your priorities for care. If you would like to book a consultation, please fill out/go to the contact page tab/email me at.
✦ What are the costs of sessions?
Sessions are $150 for a 50-55 minute session.

I am currently panelled with AETNA, United Healthcare (Optum), Cigna, and BCBS NJ
✦ How long can I expect to need therapy?
The length of therapy can vary depending on your individual goals and needs. Some people may find short-term therapy helpful for specific challenges, while others may benefit from longer-term support as they work through deeper or more complex issues. The process is collaborative, and together we’ll determine the pace that works best for you. My goal is to support you in making progress, and we’ll reassess your needs as we go
✦ How long does a session last?
Sessions are around 50-55 minutes.
✦ Do you work with other therapists or other healthcare providers?
I greatly value collaboration and am always open to working alongside other professionals, such as your therapist, couples counselor, registered dietitian, or psychiatrist, if you feel it would be beneficial. If you'd like me to coordinate with them, please don't hesitate to let me know.
✦ What happens if I need to cancel a session?
Sunroom Counseling has a 24-hour cancellation policy. This gives you flexibility to reschedule and allows us to offer the spot to someone else.

Parent’s Frequently Asked Questions
✦ How is confidentiality maintained in therapy?
While I understand the importance of keeping you informed, my primary goal is to create a space where your child feels comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. This may mean that I prioritize discussing with your child what I share with you first.
I will absolutely share information regarding your child’s immediate safety, as your child’s safety is my number one priority. Breaking confidentiality would be if your child discloses self-harm, first-time suicidal ideation, or if someone is harming them (sexually, physically, or verbally).
✦ How involved are you with parents?
For new clients, I inform parents that I like to schedule a consultation every 4-5 sessions to discuss progress, gather feedback, and offer support. Once rapport is established, I work collaboratively with parents to identify the best ways to provide ongoing support. I also give clients the option to be involved in these discussions if they wish to participate.
✦ Can I join sessions with my child?
This would depend on how comfortable your child feels with you joining the session. I will work with both you and your child to ensure a sense of safety, set clear objectives, and allow time for debriefing with the child if they would like it.
